My Classes:

Lees Sewing Corner is all about learning how to sew the easy way.

I have a series of small classes learning different techniques which normally aren't included in sewing patterns. I

studied Information Technology for a period of 3 years and have certificates in IT so I am very familiar with computer problems as well as different Embroidery Software's.

As I have worked in the sewing industry for a period of 12 years I have picked up valuable information from educators from Bernina, Janome, Baby lock, Elna and Brother.

I am presently only running Private 1-1 Lessons.

(Minimum 2 hour bookings)

I will do 1 hour lessons in order to help you re-thread your overlocker.

Basically to get you up and running with re-threading your Overlocker if you would like to learn more on the Overlocker then you can re-book 2 hour sessions with me to further your Overlocking skills.

All group classes have cease but I still run the lesson plans as 1-1 classes.

1-1 Lessons - usually after we have covered the basics and have your skills are up to date you can then re-book lessons of your choice, any thing you would like to learn and I can help you with.

I have only posted a few class ideas I have put together, they are mainly to inspire you and give you ideas of what to sew next.

I encourage you to work on your own ideas and create your own desires as well as explore the few lessons I have put together if you wish.

Please go to the Contact Us Tab if you would like to talk to me more about booking a Private 1-1 Lesson with me.

Follow my Blog Page as  I will slowly add FaceBook and Instagram posts I post to further your interest in sewing.

Machine Service Dates are also updated on the Blog Page on the Website.

  • Private one on one lessons:

If you have any issues with your embroidery software, embroidery sewing machine, embroidery designs - saving - sending - formats plus more.

Please contact me to talk about what you would like to learn

  • My Friendly Overlocker Class:

Learn everything from rethreading, adjusting tensions for different fabrics, cleaning, maintenance, different stitches and purpose, flat locking, pin tucking, rolled hemming and more this class is designed for you to get the most out of your overlocker.

  • Ruffled Cushion Cover Class:

Totally constructed on the Overlocker with the use of 2 optional feet:

Zip inserted, gathered frilled edge, finished rolled hemmed edge, piping made and attached.

Constructed and finished only using the Overlocker.

  • Stretch Class - Leotards, Swimmers, Gym Wear Construction:

Understanding a stretch pattern and how to read it: Cutting stretch fabric, applying elastic and assembling a small leotard: This class will teach you the basics of construction of dance wear, gym wear and swim wear.

  • Learn Your Machine and Some Basics Class:

Self-taught sewers never really learn how our machine behaves and why we get those, birds’ nests, I call them, you know a big knot under the fabric and you have to start all over again.

This is what this class is about no more birds’ nests and less use of pins.

  • Lapped Zipper Class:

This is a great class after the Learn Your Machine and Some Basic class as I have shown you how to feed your fabric through properly. Also I show you an awesome generic zipper foot to take out all the pain of putting a zipper in. These classes also restrict the use of pins.

  • Inserted Pockets

One of my students wanted to know how to put inserted pockets in to her ready to wear cloths. This is how this lesson came about it is a great little pocket for almost any garment, skirt, pants, and shorts. For children or adults it will fit in the side of the garment as a hidden pocket.
